Welcome to Jamorama-Reviews.org, probably the best jamorama review available online,
Just a note for you, this review is a bit long (but don’t worry, I wrote it in a way that won’t bore you, you’ll actually enjoy reading) but if you are serious about learning how to play guitar/serious about taking the Jamorama course, you should read it until the end. You’ll learn:
I don’t know about you, but as a child, I always pretended to play the guitar on my favorite songs, and I even let my hair grow so that I could wave it back and forth, until last year, when a friend sent me a link to the Jamorama website, accompanied by the inspiring message: „ Enough fooling around! It’s time you played with the best! ”.
I hope you realize my friends are as crazy as I am, and when together, we never act according to our age (I’m not telling!), but just mock everything we can and try to live by the minute. What makes us so good friends is that we understood each other from the minute we were introduced, and we always valued each others’ hobbies and tried to make our dreams come true even for a minute, if we could not do it for good.
Thus, when I first saw the email with the link to ”Jamorama”, I thought it would be something huge. I was obviously disappointed to learn that it was just the name of a company offering guitar lessons. Since I am no fan of the „learn by yourself” method, buying guides, manuals or CDs and learning at home, I was determined to forget about the website and about their promise to teach anyone how to play the guitar.
But two weeks later, on my birthday, my friends bought me a professional electric guitar. It was the first time I was holding a real guitar in my hands, and I felt both great and useless since I could not play it. My first attempt to strike the chords was painful for everyone
, which brought me back to Jamorama.

Since I did not want to spend money in vain, I signed up for the free lessons first, thinking that at least I would learn how to hold my guitar lol.
My expectations were exceeded by far, even from the first lesson, which was enough to teach me how to hold it, tune it and even play the A and D chords. The second lesson taught me how to read tabs, therefore gave me access to numerous songs from free tab sites. After the third lesson, I was already capable of changing the chords by myself, while the strumming tips in the fourth lesson took away the horrible sounds I was making with my beginner’s lack of knowledge and skills. After the fifth lesson, I surprised my friends playing parts of „Midnight Special”, while after the sixth lesson I was already under their skin with the whole song.
And while I was enjoying the free lessons, I received a weekly Jamorama newsletter full of interesting tips, insights and tricks that really got my attention and kept me going.
When the free lessons were over, I almost felt like crying. You know what it feels like to be given something great, taste it and then have it taken away from you? It is exactly what happened to me. But at least I knew where to go for more (I strongly encourage you to sign up for free lessons!).
I know, I did not trust their methods at first, either. I had friends and relatives who had spent fortunes on home learning material, from books to audio and video CDs, and for nothing. But the free lessons were the proof that there was something valuable about the Jamorama offer.
Besides, do you know what it feels like to really love something, dream about it for years, and then feel that you can finally have it? At first I felt like it was just childish fooling around. But over the years, listening to a song was resumed to „God I wish I could play guitar like that!” or „Why can’t I be part of this group?”, and so on.
And then, I finally held my guitar and I was not able to get anything from it, other than grotesque sounds that made everyone want to hide
. It made things even worse, it totally messed up my self-confidence, until I stumbled upon these free lessons.
Good thing I did not stop there! The Full Beginners Course from Jamorama brought me a lot of benefits for a very low price:
- Accessibility and comprehensibility: the book was very explicit – even a seven year old could follow the instructions – the writing was alert and kept my interest up for the chapters to come, the videos were slow paced and they made me want to know more, the background voice was gentle and inviting, no screaming, insulting or losing patience, like it might happen with a regular teacher when taking private lessons. More about Guitar
- I could make my own schedule: Some days you feel like learning in the morning, other days the afternoons are more appealing, and there are times when you just need a break. The Jamorama Course gave me all that and was there whenever I needed it, even if I felt like playing the guitar around midnight.
- Gradual improvements: It did not happen overnight, and miraculous promises should never be trusted, but each lesson brought something new to my playing technique, developed my skills or built new ones. It was both the reward I was looking for and the motivation I needed to continue.
- Low cost: with the cost of private lessons in our area, I could have never afforded them. Instead, for only 50$ I got everything I could have wished for and more. It has been a while since I ordered my course, and the price may have gone up. In fact, now that I have tried it and seen the results for myself, I don’t understand why they sell it so cheap. The Jamorama Course is definitely worth a lot more.
- Excellent results: Whether you believe it or not, I am part of a band now. We play soft rock in a pub and occasionally on local events and regional festivals. We even won a few talent shows, nothing much, but it is worth a lot for us since we all started from scrap. the guy playing the acoustic guitar, Jim, is also a graduate of the Jamorama Full Beginner’s Course. In fact, we met on their Forum. Unbelievable, huh?
Hey Sarah,
I first got the Jamorama last month. I can’t believe just how much progress I have made. I have recently started the Lead guitar course and so far it is incredible. I wish I knew about this a long time ago. I would be a pro guitar player by now
Ray,
lol
I am sure you would
Do these Jamorama lessons work entirely or will I have to take extra lessons from teacher later on? I have really been interested in taking lessons but I don’t have the time or money to go for classes. Please advise me on this because I would really like to buy the product.
Felix,
Welcome and thanks for your comment/question, I am not 100% sure what exactly you mean but definitely you won’t need extra lessons from guitar teachers, course contains everything you need,
I’d recommend you to sign up for free lessons for now here: The Free Stuff
Sarah,
I have been using the course for some time now (over 10 weeks). I have gotten so good at my guitar playing most people don’t believe that I never had one-on-one training with a teacher. I always recommend this product for everyone who wants to take the lessons but has no time or money to attend classes.
Felicia, thanks for your comment, glad to hear that.
I am very interested in learning more about the Jamorama video demonstrations. I don’t want any lessons plan without. Please let me know more about them and which lessons they come with. I also want to know what other learning tools are included in the product. Will I cover both practical and theory work?
I am a big fan of the Jamorama lessons I have been having a blast learning how to play the guitar right from home. I found my new hobby and I am getting better at it with each lesson. I can’t wait to go all the way to the advanced stage.
I do own a really basic compute .I only use it for office work so it doesn’t have any fancy programs. What kind of operating systems are required for the Jamorama software? Also, how easy is it to use and maintain the software because I am not very tech savvy?
I have been learning how to play the guitar using the Jamorama lesson products. So far it’s been really fun and easy. I am getting really good at it. I even played at my sister’s party last week! I can’t wait to get to the advanced stage though. Maybe I’ll be able to even play in a band then.
I first heard about this Jamorama product at my place of work. My workmate seems to love her learning experience. I can’t wait to start the lessons myself now. I hope that I’ll be able to get so good at it that I may even manage to play for an audience someday.
Apart from the Jamorama product are there any other recommended resources that I can use? I want to get the lessons but I have to ensure that I get the most out of this experience. Alternatively, what is contained in the product, all I have heard about are the video demos.
My brother plays the guitar and over time he has taught me a few things. I decided to get the Jamorama product so that I can improve my skills. Do I really need to start from the beginner or can I skip this first stage? I am guessing it’s just introductory which I don’t really need. Please advice.
I have been having so much fun especially with the play along tracks. I keep on playing for my younger sister who really likes them too. Getting Jamorama has really changed things in this house. The lessons are so much fun and I am so glad that I can finally get to play the guitar.
